The Senior Assistant Director Publications and Print will be responsible for co-ordination of functions pertaining to Book Production, Digital Printing, Security Printing, Lithographic Printing and general Printing. The officer will advise the Institute on matters relating to reviewing and formulation of printing policy, planning, budgeting, cost of printing services and development of standard procedures on the provision of printing services.

A Masters degree in Management related to the print and publications field from a recognized Institution and four (4) years relevant experience or a Bachelors degree in Printing Science Technology or equivalent from a recognized institution and minimum of six (6) years relevant experience in the print industry;

Chief Finance Officer

(a) Duties and Responsibilities

The Chief Finance Officer will be responsible to the Senior Deputy Director, Finance, Administration and Human Resources for efficient organization, control and supervision of the finance and accounts division.

The officer will also be responsible for preparation and coordination of the Institute's budget in line with Government of Kenya financial regulations and ensure adherence to standards and policies.
Review, plan and development of accounting procedures and policies in line with international standards and Government of Kenya financial regulations.
Prepare financial statements in accordance to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Actively engage in resource mobilization for the Institute.
The officer will in addition, be responsible for training and development of accounting staff in the Division.
(b) Requirements for Appointment

A Masters degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Finance, Banking) and Served in a senior position in the accounting/financial profession for a minimum period of three (3) years OR a Bachelors degree in either Accounting, Finance, or its equivalent and served in a senior position in the accounting/financial profession for a period of five (5) years.

a) Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve:

Co-ordination, design, implementation and control of ICT systems, formulation and enforcement of technical and operating standards for efficient and effective utilization of ICT systems.

Carrying out feasibility studies;
Training and preparing staff performance reports;
Planning, monitoring and evaluating program/activities within an Information Communication Technology Unit;

Liaising with user departments to ensure effective maintenance and upgrading of Information Communication Technology equipment and web information.

Design and management of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).

Develop manuals on ICT standards and hardware/software specifications.
b) Requirements for Appointment

Masters degree in Computer Science, Information or Communication Technology qualification and minimum of three (3) years relevant experience OR Bachelor of Science degree in either Computer Science, Information or Communication Technology qualification from a recognized institution and five (5) years relevant experience.
In addition, the applicant must be professionally qualified, possess wide experience and demonstrated a high degree of competence and ability in computerized information systems.

The Principal Librarian will head the Libraries and Library services in the Institute.

Work at this level will include administrative management of the Library Services and facilities; ensuring implementation of dynamic changes in internationally agreed codes for information acquisition retrieval and dissemination; budgeting; training, supervising and guiding technical staff working in the library services.
