COMMUNITY MANAGER AFRICA

You will establish and maintain close, collaborative working relationships with the World Economic Forum’s stakeholders from the business sector in sub-Saharan Africa. This includes engaging senior business executives as well as other stakeholders to participate in the activities and initiatives of the Forum. You will be responsible for increasing the number of African Members, increasing the active involvement of existing Members and helping to create relevant programmes that resonate within the community.

The success of your role requires the careful monitoring and evaluation of African and global business, economic and political environments, and their consequences for African business stakeholders and for the Forum’s overall strategy on the continent. In this context, you will also co-develop the value proposition that the Forum offers to key African business Members, including the programmes of our regional activities and our Annual Meetings in Davos-Klosters and the People’s Republic of China.

You will join the Forum as part of our Global Leadership Fellows Programme www.weforum.org/glf. As such, you will be fully integrated in the World Economic Forum and benefit from an intensive work and learning experience intended to develop and train future leaders of global enterprises and international organizations.

We expect you to exhibit demonstrated teamwork and to have a proactive personality, excellent knowledge of African business, politics and culture, and a proven interest in global affairs. You possess a broad intellectual background with a Master’s degree in business or international relations. You have three or more years of professional experience, preferably in a sales/marketing environment, including relevant exposure to the African continent. You are fluent in English; a working knowledge of French would be an advantage.

Please apply through www.weforum.org/careers and provide us with a cover letter, your curriculum vitae, three references and an 800-word personal essay on your motivations for joining the Global Leadership Fellows Programme, as well as what you would like to achieve in your career.
