Job Description

To manage the timely import of data into The Raiser’s Edge from WaterAid’s third party agencies and data captured online in accordance with the team’s Key Performance Indicators. To work closely with teams using external agencies for data capture to ensure that all database requirements are met; to set up data file transfer routines with external agencies, including file formats, layouts and schedules; to set strict standards of data capture quality, data usage and security regulations, to which agencies should be adhering, and to monitor these standards. To assist the Database Services Manager in reviewing systems managed within the database, both within the Database and Analysis Team and across the organisation, with a view to improving efficiencies, data accuracy and consistency throughout the database. To act as the first point of contact for Raiser’s Edge users seeking support, advice or assistance and to administer the ‘Raiser’s Edge Support’ function of the team.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications : Extensive experience of using relational database packages and working with large and complex data sets. Experience of delivering a software-user training and support service to a non-technical audience. Advanced MS Excel and Access skills. A helpful and supportive attitude. Excellent problem solving and communication skills. Degree or equivalent qualification or experience. Experience of The Raiser’s Edge fundraising database. Experience of an address cleaning tool such as QAS Batch. Experience of running de-duplication or validity checks on large sets of data.
