ICRH Mozambique Country Coordinator

The Associação Centro Internacional para Saúde Reprodutiva (International Centre for Reproductive Health, ICRH-Mozambique) is a young Mozambican multidisciplinary research organisation in the field of reproductive health (HIV, STI, maternal health, gender based violence, etc, ...), with offices in Maputo and Tete. The first few projects are already running or are about to be launched, but the organisational development is still in an initial phase. Against this background, ICRH-Mozambique is recruiting a country coordinator who will be the driving force behind the development and expansion of the organisation.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual (m/f) with excellent organisational and management skills and a good research record in the area of reproductive health (including HIV, STI, etc), public health and/or health sciences.

Profile of the candidate:

-Medical Doctor, Masters diploma in public health, health sciences or epidemiology (or equivalent);

-Experience in management and project coordination;

-Experience in international research in the field of reproductive/public health/health sciences;

-Experience in development of research protocols and project proposals to attract funding;

-Willing to work with a small team and limited resources in a fast evolving environment where many procedures, structures and tools still need to be developed and implemented;

-Flexible in terms of job content

-Excellent organisational and communication skills;

-Proficient in English, working knowledge of Portuguese.



Content of the function:

-Be the driving force behind the development of ICRH-Mozambique;

-Coordinate all ICRH-M activities and be the overall responsible for the general administrative, financial and institutional functioning of the organisation;

-Represent the organisation towards authorities, partner organisations, donors etc.;

-Initiate and coordinate the elaboration of research proposals and applications for funding;

-Lead research teams and projects in the field of reproductive health (including HIV/STI, etc);



We offer:

-A two year contract, renewable

-Salary at NGO level
