Project Officer - World Population Foundation - Indonesia

Founded in 1987, WPF is aimed at improving reproductive health and ensuring
reproductive rights in developing countries. WPF has implemented projects in
Asia, Africa and Latin America. In 2005, WPF established a field office in
Jakarta, Indonesia in order to more effectively manage and expand its
current portfolio. WPF’s Country Strategy in Indonesia focuses on improving
sexuality and reproductive health services and information for young people
and decreasing gender based violence.



In 2011-2013 WPF Indonesia will manage a program of Adult Sexual and
Reproductive Health Rights (ASRHR) program in Papua province to prevent
HIV/Aids dissemination among young people. In cooperation with a prominent
NGO Jayapura based, this program aims to first, to provide ASRHR services
for young people such as adequate information on ASRHR issues, related
clinical services; and second to mobilize advocacy program for local
stakeholders to influence local decision makers to implement and provide
budget for ASRHR for young people in Papua, particularly in the districts of
Keerom, Biak, Jayapura and Kota Jayapura.



Due to this project development, we are now seeking outstanding candidate
talents to fill the following positions at our Jakarta Office:



B. PROJECT OFFICER (Code PO):



RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Under the coordination with PM, manage the program following project
cycle management system: assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring
and evaluation.

§ Ability to arrange workshop, meetings, trainings following Action Plans.

§ Able to organize activities for young people: to prepare TA, facilities
for services, communication, etc. on implementation issues and proposes
efficient solutions to resolve the issues.

§ Responsible for managing the project funds and prepare reports.

§ Facilitates meeting and discussion with partners.

§ Collaborates with staff from local partners to organise/conduct capacity
building training/workshops.

§ Participates in the development and review of training materials and
other project documents.

§ Manages relations with various stakeholders and consultants related to
the project’s area of expertise.

§ Ensure that reports and proposals are prepared and processed according to
WPF standards.

§ Perform other duties as assigned and required by WPF Country
Representative in Indonesia.



Requirements:

· At least Bachelor Degree in Social Science with Project Management
experiences of development program for at least three (3) years.

· Has strong technical background on ASRHR with rights based and
behavioural change approaches.

· Experiences in working with young people by implementing the above
issues following young people interests.

· Possess strong leadership skills with good interpersonal
communication skills, particularly when working with target groups and
stakeholders.

· Ability to work independent, mature, adaptive and accommodative
person and hard worker with experiences working with various stakeholders.

· Ability to write narrative reports.

· Willing to work in gender equity working environment.

· Be able and willing to conduct frequent field travel.
