The Resident Engineer shall be a qualified bridge Engineer with minimum BSc degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and at least 15 years relevant experience in bridge/road design including construction of which at least 5 years should have been in bridge construction and rehabilation in developing countries, preferably in Africa.
He/She shall have extensive supervision experience of similar bridge projects i.e. prestressed concrete bridges with piled foundation. He/She must have served as a Resident Engineer on at least three (3) bridge construction supervision projects of similar magnitude and complexity of which one in developing country. He will also be familiar with engineering contract precedures and contract administration.
