The Global Water Partnership (GWP) is a global action network and intergovernmental organization whose vision is a water secure world. Our mission is to support countries in the sustainable development and management of water resources. GWP has a network of over 2300 partner organisations, 13 Regional Water Partnerships and 77 Country Water Partnerships.
A Senior Network Officer works with regions, focusing on the role of water in national and regional economic development, and facilitates knowledge sharing across the GWP network. S/he is a development professional with 10 years experience, and has the following:
• Integrated water resources management: Advanced training in economics, engineering, natural/environmental sciences, social sciences, and/or international water law and governance.
• Policy development and advocacy: Experience with NGOs or the private sector; working with multiple stakeholders; interacting at national and regional government levels, as well as with bilateral and multilateral development agencies.
• Programme development: Experience with results-oriented organisational and strategic planning, and programme/project development, management and implementation.
The position is based in Stockholm, Sweden, with international travel. English is the working language, but knowledge of other international languages is an asset. The full position description and requirements are available at: www.gwp.org.
