The office of the Auditor General (OAG) is an institution established under the provisions of Article 163 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda. Its mandate, functions and powers are enshrined in the National Audit Act, 2008. The main function of the OAG Is to audit and report on the Public Accounts of Uganda and of all public offices or bodies and/or organizations established by an Act of Parliament.
Pursuant to chapter 1, section L - a of the Government Standing Orders as well as section 2 of the Pensions Act, Chapter 286 (Laws of Uganda), the OAG was recognized by the Pensions Authority as "Other Public Service" w.e.f. 4th October 2008.

Our mission is “To Audit and report to the public and thereby make an effective contribution to improving public accountability and value for money spent”
In a bid to reposition the office as an autonomous institution so as to maximize its capacity to deliver in relation to its Vision, Mission and strategic plan, the OAG has reviewed its organization
A division of Support Services has been created. The head of the division will be a member of Top Management responsible to the Auditor General for providing senior management input into corporate and professional support services ,general administration and advising the Top management team on the day today working and development of theses functions
JOB TITLE: Auditor 6 (Six) vacancies)
SALARY SCALE: U4
AGE: 23 Years and above

REPORTS; THE SENIOR AUDITOR
Duties
1. Participating in the preparation of forensic audit plans, working paper files and management letters (Part 1)
2. Executing forensic audit programmes.
5. Attending Parliamentary/District PAC meetings.
6. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor

Job requirement
Minimum Qualifications
An Honors Bachelor's degree in Law or Commerce (Accounting option), Business
Administration (Accounting option), or any other related Degree majoring in Accounting, from a recognized University or Institution or a professional qualification like ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA or CPA.
