Irrigation and/or Water Resource Experts

Project Description:
In view of on-going and upcoming projects and programmes in the field of irrigation and rural development, especially in West, North African and Middle East countries, GFA’s recruiting department is currently looking for experienced experts in irrigation and/or water resource mangement.

Qualifications:
Requirements :

• At least a Masters Degree in Civil or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent
• Team leader/ consultant experience in multidisciplinary teams
  
• Fluency in French or English and German, and experienced in writing high standard reports.

General Professional experience :

• Minimum 5 (consultants) to 10 (project manager) years of professional experience in implementation of irrigation projects in developing countries

With proven experience in

• Design of irrigation systems, small dams, rural roads and constructions, and rehabilitation of irrigation systems;
• preparation of tender documents, procedures and contract awarding;
• supervision of works and ensuring quality controlof works and ensuring quality control
• leading a team of international and national experts, and collaboration with counterparts, public sector and stakeholders (farmer or water user associations);
• project management (human resources, financial, administrative)
• regulations and procedures (financial and reporting in particular) of KfW and EU
• capacity building of staff and farmers, and organisational development
