The following position has now become available: Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will manage the day-to-day financial operations of the Brussels office, including:

• Posting all accounting transactions
• Preparing monthly, mid-year and yearly financial reports
• Preparing salary journals
• Preparing VAT return and other official reports
• Following up on financial transactions, bank records and reconcile all payments and receipts
• Liaising with the project managers and the auditors
• Performing other tasks as required

Job requirements:

• Minimum education: bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar field
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting functions
• At least 3 years of experience in a senior position
• Strong systems experience, including a competent level in Excel and accounting packages
• Good communication skills in writing and speaking in English, Dutch and French
• Previous professional experience in an international context is an asset
• Knowledge of Navision is an asset
• Experience with EU funded project is an advantage
• Knowledge about Belgian accounting rules and social legislative is an advantage.
