Legal Administrative Officer: Contract Management Services
Salary: R123 453 – R578 571 per annum (MR1 – MR5)

Requirements: • Minimum qualification of a 3-year B degree in Law • Relevant experience in contract management and administration • Knowledge and understanding of the housing environment and housing legislation would be a recommendation • Planning, organising and coordination skills • Computer literacy • Knowledge of and experience in drafting strategic legal documents, such as international agreements, legal opinions, service level agreements, etc • Verbal and written communication skills.

Duties: • Draft, vet and process contracts, international agreements and memoranda of understanding • Ensure that the Department complies with international law in relation to the drafting and processing of international agreements • Maintain strategic relations with the Departments of Justice and Constitutional Development and International Relations and Co-operation regarding the processing of international agreements • Conduct strategic legal research • Develop and implement appropriate systems, controls and measures for tracking and monitoring compliance • Monitor and enforce compliance by the Department with its contractual obligations and furnish advice where required.
