Field Sales Representative

Sandvik Materials Technology, a world leading producer of high technology stainless steel and special alloy materials, has an excellent career opportunity for a Field Sales Representative for the Midwest territory.

The Role

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong working knowledge of the Hollow Bar/Mechanical Tubing, Automotive, High Temperature and Hydraulic/Instrumentation supply chain and experience with sales to machining, automotive, oil & gas and petrochemical segments. This Field Sales person will also be responsible to develop, monitor and sell the full Tube Products portfolio in the Midwest.

This individual will be responsible to work closely with Technical Sales, Sales Management and Marketing, as well as creating, developing and executing the marketing plan to increase sales in the assigned territory. This is primarily achieved through focused value sales initiatives, direct interaction with customers through customer site visits, technical presentations and follows up efforts.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or in a Technical Area with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with customer application / process knowledge is highly recommended. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to be a solution provider, with the ability to act independently and be self-motivated, with strong project management and problem solving skills. Travel of 55% to 65% is expected.
