The role
Sandvik is currently a Warehouse Assistant position available to be based at our Mount Isa facility. The warehouse assistant role provides warehouse and distribution service to both internal and external customers. This role provides support in the day to day operations and activities involved with the supply of Spare Parts and Materials from the Warehouse to the end user in compliance to Sandvik Warehousing and Logistic procedures and processes.
Key performance areas
The Mt Isa Warehouse is an operation providing a high volume of warehouse and distribution service to both internal and external customers. Operational delivery service levels to customers are mandated to achieve prescribed Key Performance Targets.
  • Adhere to all policies & procedures especially the EHS policies
  • Record and report all warranty claims as per Sandvik's warranty policies and liaising with internal and external stakeholders on the progress of claims
  • Receiving, receipting, pick, pack and dispatch of spare parts and materials
  • Preparation of shipping documentation
  • Conduct stock cycle counting and full stock takes
  • Assist with inventory control
  • General warehouse maintenance and housekeeping
Your profile
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years warehouse/stores experience in a Heavy Mining or Equipment Manufacturing environment. Computer literacy is favourable. An open and current Driver's License, Forklift License is essential and Order picker License would be desirable.
You will have drive, flexibility, high level of energy and enthusiasm, display excellent communication and customer relations skills. Additionally you areable to work as part of a small team.
