  • Contrôler les coûts des travaux et en faire le suivi avec le personnel approprié
  • Coacher, former, évaluer et diriger le personnel d’atelier à accomplir les objectifs fixés et les buts de l’atelier
  • Répondre aux demandes des clients quant aux statuts des commandes de travail

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring workshop personnel complete accurate requisitions for work orders
  • Overseeing work orders and jobs to ensure they are completed successfully to meet operational requirements and delivery dates
  • Monitoring job costs and providing feedback to appropriate personnel
  • Coaching, training, evaluating and leading workshop personnel to accomplish set objectives and goals of the workshop
  • Responding to customer inquiries on work order statuses

Your Profile
  • Technical degree/diploma in mechanical or electrical field
  • 7 years’ experience with mining equipment and proven experience in a similar leadership role within a mining environment

The role
As The Rock Tool Technician, you will be required to perform all necessary daily activities that are associated with servicing of a Sandvik rock tool supply contract, including compliance with all relevant operating procedures and policies, work scopes and contract documents. The role will be based at our Kalgoorlie CSC servicing the client’s site Kundana 40km North West of kalgoorlie .
Key performance areas
  • Perform the daily delivery services of product to each drill site.
  • Remove all worn and damaged rock tools from the drill sites.
  • Analyse the condition and/or failures and discuss with the operators.
  • Replenish circuit stock on each rig to the established levels.
  • Complete analysis of failed product and report any abnormalities to the Product Support Manager &/or Sales Representative.
  • Perform the sorting, gauging, cutting back, grinding and colour coding of used drill bits.
  • Perform the refurbishment of blocked and bent drill rods.
Your profile
You will have minimum 2 years’ experience working with DTH, Top Hammer or similar working underground. You must have a strong safety commitment as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. Additionally, you will have an understanding of on-site maintenance contracts and familiarity with Sandvik information systems and methodologies.
Candidates must be local to Kalgoorlie for this position as it is a residential role. You must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for this job.

Key performance areas
General Safety and Environment

Your profile
  • Matric, N2 Minimum. Formal Technical Qualification (Trade 13/12)
  • At least 3 years’ Technical experience in a mining/engineering environment is required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Distribution/Supply Chain environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Technical position
  • Experience in internal and/or external customer service would be desired
  • Experience in effective communication with people or teams in different locations in Region Africa would be desired
  • Prior exposure to Aurora, DI and Qlikview highly desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft office,
  • Exposure to (Sandvik) ISO management systems processes and procedures
