Communications Coordinator (m/f)

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is seeking a Communications Coordinator for a period of 1 year for its Brussels Executive Office to coordinate communications and media work in the lead up to the United Nations Summit on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD). This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual to be part of a progressive international federation. IDF has 35 full time staff in its Brussels headquarters, a large number of expert volunteers and an expanding network of 7 regional offices.

You will coordinate media material including press releases, statements, newsletters, website information, reports and materials of the UN Summit on NCD, coordinate the dissemination and communication of IDF activities, provide editorial and writing support, liaise with communications officers from NCD Alliance partner organizations.

You have a master degree with minimum 3 years experience in communications, campaigning or media relations in an international context. You have a knowledge of health and development issues, including the global importance of non-communicable diseases. You are able to operate with purpose, urgency and accuracy in a fast-paced entrepreneurial and deadline-driven environment. You are a good team player and are able to work in a multicultural environment. You have excellent oral and written knowledge of English.
