Development Manager, Marine and Propulsion Solutions

Position description	We are looking for a Development Manager to Wärtsilä Services. The Development Manager, Marine and Propulsion Solutions is responsible for developing Electrical & Automation solutions for the Marine business sector, and also to developing propulsion control solutions for any business sector. The possible locations of this position are the Netherlands and Finland, please specify the preferred location in your application.
Responsibilities	- Set up and lead a team focusing on the development of Marine and Propulsion electrical and automation solutions - Develop an efficient way of working and processes within the team - Assist in the development of efficient KPI's and reporting tools related to E&A PD - Handle cross divisional cooperation on product development with other divisions - In cooperation with CSM scan, select, support and develop suppliers for E&A products - Manage the engineering activities related to Marine and Prop E&A products - Implement product improvements as per feedback from the product management - Follow the obsolescence status of the products and components, and to mitigate problems by creating new solutions - Follow the area of expertise, and bring innovative solutions and ideas to the business development - Support sales support with technical expertise on E&A products - Secure proper technical documentation and training material
Requirements	- BSc or MSc or equivalent in relevant area of expertise (automation, electrical, software development) - Knowledge of product development, electrical and automation systems, hardware and software development - Several years of experience in development of electrical and automation products in the Marine or Propulsion sector as well as team management
