The National University of Rwanda would like to recruit competent and qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

post:IT CLUSTER MANAGER (1)

Duties and Responsibilities
• Installation of GIS and RS software;
• Maintenance and Monitoring of all IT equipment for CGIS;
• Installation and maintenance of LAN connections of the GIS/RS cluster;
• Management of IT equipment and the access to computer labs;
• Management of internet and work closely with NUR ICT Center;
• Provision and upgrading of anti-virus, spam, worm etc.
• Acquisition of GIS & RS software and maintenance of computers;
• Provide advice on hard and software novelties and changes;
• Involvement in procurement of GIS/RS hard and software;
Minimum Qualifications. . • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
• Professional background in Computer Science and Technology;
• Experience in managing computers cluster used for education and research;
• Preferably experience with GIS and / or RS software and networking;
• Experience in managing and monitoring software licenses and upgrades;
• Experience in maintaining computer accessories such as printer, scanners, etc.
