Regional Grants and Partnerships Development Manager - Americas

International Organization (NGO), focused on the integral development of children in the most under-developed countries of the world, with its Regional Office for the Americas operating in the City of Knowledge in Panamá, is in search of the following position:

Regional Grants and Partnerships Development Manager - Americas


The Regional Grants and Partnership Development Manager – Americas, will coordinate and liaison with ChildFund headquarters, Alliance members, and National Offices, to provide leadership, technical advise, and support to advance appropriate grant opportunities, partnerships, and prepare grant submissions to bilateral and multilateral government donors, corporations, and foundations. This position will be based in Panama reporting directly to the Americas Regional Program Manager.

Abilities and Qualifications:

Appropriate tertiary qualifications in related field, e.g. MBA, MPA, International Development or related field.
At least seven to ten years as a senior development professional in planning, monitoring, evaluating programs and managing technical support.
Proven program/project management skills.
Extensive experience with child development, child protection and community development issues.
Strong conceptual design skills and extensive knowledge of and experience with key components of grant proposals, including proposal narratives, logical frameworks, budgets, budget narratives, implementation plans, work plans, etc.
Proven and outstanding track record in developing and writing grant proposals for major donors, such as USAID and other relief and development arms of the US Governments, the European Union and ECHO, UN agencies, and major foundations.
Outstanding English language communication skills (written & oral). Fluency in Spanish is a requirement and Portuguese is a preference.
High level of networking, negotiation and facilitation skills.
