The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), established in December 2001, is responsible for a number of agencies, tertiary programs, and province-wide services. The first organization of its kind in Canada, the PHSA works with the five geographic health authorities and the Ministry of Health to meet local and provincial needs. As a provincial health authority, PHSA plans, delivers, manages, funds, and evaluates specialty and province-wide health services across British Columbia.
Working closely with the President and Chief Executive Officer, you will provide leadership to a diverse group of member agencies, ensuring strategic goals, objectives and operational plans are carried out to achieve the health authority's goal of efficient, effective, patients-first health care.
With a drive to excellence underpinning all of your activities, you will identify regional needs, plan a broad spectrum of health programs and services and ensure that programs are properly funded and managed. Ultimately, your guidance will improve health service delivery and ensure patient care meets the highest standards. Your strategic leadership, ability to build coalitions with senior partners and eye for innovative change will ensure both your success and PHSA's place as one of Canada's foremost health science academic organizations.
A seasoned senior executive with a Master's degree in Business or Health Care Administration and more than 15 years experience overseeing multiple business units in a large, complex, unionized and multi-site or network health care organization is the ideal career background.
