Haiti Senior Human Resources Partner

The International Rescue Committee serves refugees and communities affected by oppression or violent conflict worldwide. SCOPE OF WORK: The Senior HR Partner will be based in Port Au Prince, Haiti for 3-4 months and will provide dedicated, intensive HR support to the management team and staff while setting up a variety of critical HR processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide guidance and input on organizational structure and workforce planning • Implement and train staff on key aspects of annual Performance Evaluation process • Ensure the new hire process and IRC’s on-boarding program, IRCconnect, meet organizational goals and are implemented • Lead development of a robust recruitment strategy and process • Support local HR manager in delivering training on The IRC Way (IRC Code of Conduct) • Partner with local HR manager to review all job descriptions and make any necessary changes • Provide effective guidance and support to supervisors on employee relations issues, performance management program, compensation/benefits issues, promotions/changes in status, and general HR issues; • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelors Degree in HR or related field; Masters Degree highly desired; • Minimum 7-10 years progressive HR work experience; • Previous experience as an HR business partner • International work experience in Haiti or other developing countries is required • Proficiency in French and English • Strong working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits and organizational development; • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively and diplomatically manage employee relationships; • Proven problem solving and customer service skills: the ability to successfully provide support and to staff and guide managers; • Solid organizational skills: the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment; • Flexible work attitude: the ability to work productively in a team environment & independently and to respond rapidly to evolving situations, yet remain productive and focused; • Proven training skills; the desire to develop and implement successful training sessions; • Good Computer skills: facility with MS Word, Excel, and email/internet software.
