Chad Associate IT Officer, P2

The Associate IT Officer is a technical position within the UNHCR operation. The incumbent who will be in constant contact with the concerned technical unit(s) at UNHCR HQ will translate all up to date technical recommendations and specifications into practical operational realities. Within that context, the position will be under technical guidance and operational scrutiny of the Technical Unit(s) at UNHCR HQ and/or any other Regional Technical arrangement. Main task of the position is to ensure routine functioning of the IT system within the country operation and assist the management to improve and refine it with the technical progress. He/She will receive regular training and briefing from the technical experts on issues relating to advancement of the technology and the organization’s IT strategy as it develops, so that he can effectively carry out his/her function and also, normally supervises some support IT staffs.
