Product Marketing Manager, Green Energy - Google

As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. The role enables you to shape the product development process, organize product launches from beginning to end and form future marketing strategy.

At Google, we're pushing the boundaries of what it means to be environmentally sustainable. We're doing this by using resources as efficiently as possible and supporting renewable power. In Google Green, we focus on three main areas: efficiency, renewable energy, and our products that help people live a better life while also being good to the environment. We also help support the work in Google.org on energy access. In Green Marketing, our job is to help people understand and care about what we do to help the environment. By doing that, we hope more people and companies adopt these greener practices. Also, as people connect more powerfully with Google on an emotional level through the good we do, we hope they will love Google more. In this role, you will be responsible for managing strategic marketing campaigns and programs that help raise awareness of Google's leadership in sustainability. Because the team is small and our company's green efforts are growing, you will likely have a more fluid responsibility set than some of the more established Google.com products. Only those that are comfortable and thrive in this type of fluid environment should apply.
