Communications Unit Intern, Bogota

The Latin America Program of International Crisis Group has an internship available for an undergraduate in their last year or a recent graduate. Interns have the option to participate in either a full-time or part-time internship for three to six months. We are currently looking for an intern able to start by early-October 2013. The position will be based in Bogotá, Colombia.
Responsibilities: Produce Latin America’s daily press dossier; Provide inputs for the production of Program’s monthly situation report; The intern will assist with the Program’s communication and outreach strategy; and Candidates should be flexible and willing to do a variety of tasks, including online research, scheduling appointments and administrative work.
Requirements: Undergraduate/ graduate studies in communications, journalism or similar subjects; Experience with social media/networks; Excellent verbal and written command of Spanish and English; Computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet; Candidates must be highly motivated and responsible; and Excellent interpersonal relations. Please note that internships at International Crisis Group are unpaid, however, interns will be reimbursed for food and transportation costs.
