Ravensthorpe Nickel Operations is currently looking to appoint suitably skilled and experienced Maintenance Shift Technician – Electrical and Instrumentation to join the Engineering team.
Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor – Electrical and Instrumentation, you will be responsible for providing the highest quality services, including installations, maintenance and repairs of electrical and instrumentation wiring, equipment and fixtures.
The key responsibilities of the role include;
- Ensuring that maintenance objectives are effectively communicated to optimize plant availability
- Ability to meet set work targets for daily work group activities in accordance with applicable policies and procedures in an efficient manner
- Maintain good Fieldbus installation standards to ensure on-going reliability of Fieldbus system
- Ensure that data displayed on the SCADA system corresponds with the calibration of field Instrumentation to the required resolution and accuracy as laid down by the company's calibration procedure.
- Adhering to systems, procedures and maintaining a safe working plant and environment
The successful applicant will possess;
· A minimum of 3 year relevant experience with the mining sector
· Power generation experience
· Instrumentation experience
· Qualified Electrical Trade certificate
· Dual Traded with a Hazardous Area Accreditation/Ticket of High Voltage Ticket preferred
· Hold VALID current WA Electrical License – A grade
· Possess VALID Confined spaces and EWP tickets (highly regarded)
· Strong problem solving skills, good verbal and written skills
· The ability to multitask and work well in a team environment
· A positive, self-motivated and conscientious attitude
This role is offered on 8 days on and 6 days off, 7 night on and 7 night off roster. Employees are able to reside in the local shires and commute to work daily. FIFO opportunity is also available.
