Grants Manager

WaterAid India invites applications from experienced and qualified professionals to lead, develop and manage all of WaterAid India’s funding from institutional donors and restricted income funding relationships.

In ten states across India, WaterAid supports the work of a large number of national and regional NGOs in the provision of safe and effective water and sanitation for poor and marginalised communities. The India country programme is one of WaterAid’s most established programmes in Asia with a total of 54 staff. 
As Grants Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing the new and existing institutional and restricted income funding relationships in line with organisational and functional strategy. You will also make successful proposals and presentations to potential and committed donors, and coordinate all aspects of donor contracts.

The post holder reports to the Chief Executive of WaterAid India at our office in New Delhi. 
Essential requirements
  • Post graduate (or equivalent) qualification 
  • Minimum of five years’ relevant work experience in institutional fundraising role in national/international NGOs 
  • Excellent numeracy
  • Ability to use Excel spreadsheets 
  • Ability to analyse complex budgets
Prior experience in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) would be an advantage.
