The Major Donors & Corporations Advisor, Europe will provide the strategic and relationship expertise to optimise major donor engagement activities in 10 European Support Offices (SO): Austria, Ireland, Netherlands, Finland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and the UK. Firstly, this person will have the responsibility to design, and/or identify, a portfolio of projects to be funded in coherence with our field ministry needs, and will co-create in collaboration with Major Donor teams, communication materials which include proposals, pitch sheets, reports format and other relative stewardship material for Major Donors. Secondly, the Major Donors & Corporations Advisor will build capability and best practices to ensure excellence in prospection, qualification, fundraising, cultivation and stewardship towards two audiences: corporations, and major & middle donors.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Identify, propose and regularly update a portfolio of projects that meet WV ministry needs in all regions of the world.
• Co-create with Major Donor teams, materials which include proposals, pitch sheets, reports format, etc.
• Build capacity in the development, optimisation, and implementation of in-country and cross-regional Corporate Engagement strategies and operations.
• Provide training, mentoring, tools and consulting support to build Major & Middle Donor Engagement expertise, where some of the requisite strategic development, planning, relationship management skills and implementation of KPIs are needed.
• Provide support to prioritise objectives and build CEO capacity when offices do not have the in-country staff to manage Major Donors fundraising.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
• Bachelors’ degree in business management, strategy development and marketing. Masters or other advanced training in Relationship Management a plus.
• 5 years of experience leading Major Donors (both Corporate and Major Donors) operations in the NGO sector.
• Strong analytical ability with experience in developing proposals, business and implementation plans.
• Advanced understanding of Corporate Business and Marketing Strategy.
• Good track record and capability to manage major relationships and engagement projects across different functions and geography.
• Excellent communicator: inter personal, writing, and public speaking.
• Experience in developing new or emerging markets.
• Able to travel across Europe 30% of the time.
