Managing editor, Thought Leadership

The Economist Group’s Thought Leadership division provides cutting-edge research and custom content that helps our blue-chip clients engage high-level business audiences and promote informed debate on a wide range of topics.

You will be a senior leader in the team, working closely with the editorial director to ensure the delivery of consistently high quality research that meets our clients’ objectives. You will manage a small group of editors, and will yourself manage high-profile projects for our financial industry and other clients. Powerful tools, such as well-developed quantitative research capabilities and access to Economist Group expertise, will be available. You will work with our marketing and events teams to deliver this valuable content in print, in person at our events, and through a range of digital and social media channels.

You will oversee key client relationships and will plan and deliver projects on a wide range of business issues, with a particular focus on financial services. You will have a solid project management track record and will be experienced in interacting with, and presenting to, senior executives.
