ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Real Estate and Engineer Assistant assists with real estate and engineering operations focused on Farmland Preservation, Public Access and Habitat Restoration Land Control, and Public Access and Habitat Restoration Engineering Design and Construction Management. This may include one or more of the following functions:
  • Perform routine administrative tasks as needed, may include contracting of appraisals, survey and title work, database tracking of project status and funding, quarterly reporting to NRCS.
  • Furthers the Conservancy's strategic goals
  • Perform routine and complex administrative tasks to assist Program Managers with the following tasks: preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes; contracting of appraisals, survey and title work; database tracking of project status and funding; assist in grant management; drafting of contracts and agreements; cooperative agreements and easements for public access and habitat restoration.
Perform routine and complex administrative tasks to assist engineering with the following tasks: compile supporting documentation including GIS maps, photos, abutters lists, and other material as necessary; track and monitor contracts to ensure that all deliverables in the scope are met; assist with the preparation of permit applications, track permit application progress; assist with the preparation of maintenance permit narratives; assist Federal Aid Coordinator with federal grant applications as required. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, natural resources management or related field and 2 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects.
  • Experience handling standard business communications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-4 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in real estate acquisitions and construction management.
  • Ability to complete tasks independently within assigned time frames.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with assignments sometimes coming from a number of sources and work independently.
  • Ability to coordinate project information from a number of sources to populate databases, create reports and produce manual files.
  • Experience utilizing databases for data entry and report production preferred.
  • Strong administrative skills including attention to detail and numerical ability.
  • Ability to plan, administer and record results of work-team meetings and activities.
  • Ability to report to and work with a diverse team of professions.
