Global Operation Center, within Sandvik IT Global Shared Services, is the operational unit responsible for developing monitoring coordination to offer to Sandvik IT Supply and our Business Partners. We manage our ITIL processes to assure that Sandvik IT and its suppliers work according to frameworks and instructions. Our aim is to become the focal point for monitoring of infrastructure, business applications and processes within the Sandvik Group. To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a Global Incident Manager who is motivated by the opportunity to join us in a role with an extensive network of contacts at all levels, from technicians to the CIO. The location for this position is Sandviken, Sweden.
Job Summary
As Global Incident Manager, you are responsible for overseeing end-to-end incident management for Sandvik IT standard services within the Global Operation Centers based in Sandviken, Sweden and Bangalore, India. You ensure that priority incidents are resolved according to service level agreement and you host and coordinate meetings with both internal and external resolution groups during complex, high-impact incidents. You provide status updates to relevant stakeholders and, during the resolution cycle, you provide leadership and direction and collaborate with relevant parties to produce action plans to remedy any potential SLO breach. You are also responsible for the incident process compliance and violation governance.
As our operations are active 24/7, weekend on-call duty is required in this position.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with an engineering degree in computer science, telecommunication, electronics or similar field, as well as experience handling multi-sourced deliveries. You have at least four years’ experience from working with IT, of which two years were with IT incident management. Knowledge of supplier management is required, as is certification in ITIL V3 Foundation, while an ITIL V3 Expert certificate and experience working with other ITIL related processes are advantageous. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of infrastructure operations and IT production, and experience in project management and good documentation skills are beneficial. As our operations are global, your communication skills in English must be excellent, both verbally and in writing.
