EXPORT SERVICES MANAGER, SYDNEY

A senior position of Export Services Manager has opened up in the Sydney offices of Pacific Islands Trade & Invest.

An excellent opportunity has become available for a senior executive based in Sydney with Pacific Islands Trade & Invest, the trade promotion arm of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS). Pacific Islands Trade & Invest offices in Auckland, Sydney, Beijing and Tokyo are entrusted with the task of working with businesses in the Pacific Islands to successfully promote the export of their products and services, including tourism, and to attract investment into the Pacific Island Countries.
The position, Export Services Manager, will report to Trade Commissioner and will be required to develop strategies and provide work towards increasing export sales revenue for Pacific Island exporters.
Pacific Islands Trade & Invest, Sydney is a small dynamic team with a pragmatic approach to service delivery. The successful candidate is an experienced international business development professional, tertiary qualified, has 5 years senior management experience and a knowledge of the Pacific Islands is highly desirable.

This role requires a strong background in marketing and business development management with a view to develop client relationships and strategic partnerships throughout the business community, and ensuring responsive client service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate export experience in food and agricultural products and a business mind-set with a `can do’ attitude with the ability to build relationships within the complex social and political environment of developing economies in the Pacific.
