Instructional Designer

  • Location Negotiable - Adelaide, Sydney or Melbourne
  • Part-Time Hours (15.2 hours/week)
  • $87,006 - $96,127 p.a. (pro rata) + Generous Super

ABC Human Resources are seeking an Instructional Designer to provide support and expertise in eLearning instructional design across a range of technologies, to enable the learning team to facilitate online, distance, blended and virtual classroom training across the ABC.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

Work effectively with Subject Matter experts to design and create eLearning course content to meet best practice standards for eLearning.

  • Mentor Learning team members and also Subject Matter Experts within the organisation to develop internal skills in instructional design, and eFacilitation.
  • Develop standards, procedures, processes and templates within the overall eLearning strategy.
  • Facilitate eLearning course content using online, distance, blended and virtual classroom technology and best practice delivery methods.
  • Work with a wide range of staff within the ABC in the development of eLearning content and processes to avoid duplication of effort.
  • Actively promote the ABC values and apply all relevant policies and guidelines including Equity & Diversity and OH&S.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Experienced senior Learning and Development professional with a proven track record in designing and developing innovative and effective eLearning content and courses.
  2. Demonstrated experience in working innovatively with Moodle as a Learning Management System.
  3. Coaching skills, with the ability to influence and guide others towards objectives, and to communicate a sense of direction.
  4. Demonstrated eFacilitation skills including ability to deliver training across geographic boundaries using a range of technologies.
  5. Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to work with Subject Matter Experts to develop and deliver eLearning course content.
  6. Qualifications in workplace training and development, eLearning or related areas.
  7. Team player who demonstrates an ethical approach to work, exemplifying professionalism, personal drive and integrity.
  8. An understanding of and commitment to the ABC's aims, objectives and workplace values, together with relevant policies and guidelines including, Equity & Diversity and OH&S.
