looking for a partner manager

The Broker is a website in English, with a magazine and email newsletter, that focuses on development and globalization. We host academic and policy discussions for policy makers and other professionals from ministries, NGOs, the business sector and international organizations. We are on the verge of launching an ambitious partner plan, with an eye to expanding our international reach in the near future. In support of this effort, we are looking for a partner manager (0.8 FTE) to coordinate our partner plan.

Functie-eisen

Requirements: - Academic thinking and working level - Extensive knowledge of international affairs - Affinity with the academic world is a must - Demonstrable experience setting up and coordinating international networks - Familiarity with online marketing and web publishing is an advantage - At least five years' experience in a relevant work environment - Excellent command of English is a must - Good command of German and Spanish is a plus - Pioneering spirit and ability to work independently, with a feeling for team spirit Key tasks and responsibilities: - Help set up/implement partner recruitment plans, in the Netherlands and other EU countries - Run the partner secretariat and advise partners using The Broker's partner service - Collaborate with key partners in setting up partner networks - Achieve set targets within available budgets Competencies: - Entrepreneurial spirit - Communication skills - Compassionate - Creative - Initiative - Result-driven - Committed - Flexible Location: Leiden (publisher's office) and the editorial office in Amsterdam. We are offering an initial contract for five months, four days a week. The intention is to extend this to a one- or two-year position if the candidate proves suitable.
