Reports to: Regional Director, Asia
The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), a non-profit, non-partisan affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is seeking candidates for the position of Program Assistant, Asia. As part of a team reporting to the Regional Director this position is responsible for providing administrative, programmatic, and research support. The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple detail-oriented tasks with limited supervision, have a demonstrable interest in economic development and democratic and market-oriented reforms in China and Southeast Asia, and work well with a widely diverse staff.
Responsibilities:
Correspond via email and phone with program partners to coordinate program development and track program progression. Assist in writing, reviewing, editing and preparing quarterly narrative and financial reports, program proposals and reports, articles, press releases and other documents for submission to donor agencies and CIPE internal and promotional use. Provide research assistance Create and maintain a variety of program and correspondence files for the Asia department, including program files, contact lists, schedules and event calendars Process invoices, vouchers, field office liquidations and other financial procedures. Develop and maintain systems for tracking project reports, approvals and payments. Edit articles, policy papers, and other publications Draft and monitor project and proposal budgets Handle international travel arrangements and local meeting logistics, as needed. Prepare routine correspondence and mailings. Perform clerical duties, as needed. Track implementation status and reporting requirements of multiple projects Handling project administration, including invoices and contracts Adhere to appropriate office procedures, CIPE, NED and USAID policies and procedures.
Qualification:
Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience required Minimum two years of administrative office experience. Excellence in writing, reporting, and English composition. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to take initiative to manage multiple, detail oriented-tasks with limited supervision.
