Regional Education Adviser, South Asia

The Australian Government, through the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), is seeking to fill the position of Regional Education Adviser (REA) for South Asia, based at the Australian High Commission, Dhaka, Bangladesh. As a member of the AusAID South Asia team, the Regional Education Advisor (REA) will take primary responsibility for advising on policy and program direction of education interventions under the Australian Government’s aid program in South Asia. This will include the development and implementation of initiatives as well as monitoring and evaluation of regional and country specific education programs. The REA’s position will report directly to the Regional Counsellor, South Asia.

Please note that this is a local (non-Australian Public Service) position and does not attract the terms and conditions of the Australian Public Service, and does not include relocation allowance. The successful applicant will be offered a 3 year contract with the possibility of a further 3 year extension.

An attractive remuneration package, including salary, will be negotiated with the successful applicant, depending upon relevant experience and qualifications.
