Archeologist : Cluj Napoca, Romania

The project ‚Beyond the Norms: Religious Practice in Medieval and Early Modern Transylvania’ wishes to employ a specialist interested in the Middle Ages and the early modern period, with experience in archaeology and excavation, holding a PhD or in the final stages of writing his/her thesis, with a knowldge of Romanian and Hungarian (ideally also of German) and a broader interest in cultural studies.

Description

Being part of the project implies a monthly salary (the details will be discussed during the interview), the opportunity to benefit from short research visits to various institutions, the obligation to attend the monthly meetings of the research team, the obligation to attend the workshops organized within the project, contact with the members of the research team for the duration of the project and the submission for publication of an article based on the research undertaken in the project (methodology included), preferably in ISI or ERIH rated journals. The research will involve perusing excavation reports concerning ecclesiastical monuments from Transylvania, writing a report concerning the state of excavation, as well as detailed presentations of case studies agreed upon jojntly.
