THET ,Junior Administrative Assistant
THET is an international development organisation working to improve access to the health services in developing countries. We are recruiting a Junior Administrative Assistant to work in our London Head Office and provide administrative and clerical support to the team. The Junior Administrative Assistant will undertake a wide range of duties including:
• Acting as the first point of contact for callers, visitors and staff
• Filing, data entry, creating and maintaining files and databases, drafting standard letters, emails and minute taking
• Collecting/distributing the post, handling deliveries, filing, photocopying, printing and scanning
• Arranging and servicing internal and external meetings
• Monitoring and ordering stationery and office supplies
• Supporting IT and H&S functions
• Any other related ad hoc duties
Person Specification
confident, self-motivated assistant with excellent communication skills and friendly can-do approach flexible and willing to undertake a various range of tasks and work efficiently under pressure (as part of a team as well as on own initiative) understands the importance of keeping confidentiality enthusiastic and committed to the Trust’s objectives
Skills/ Experience
• IT literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint • Excellent administration and secretarial skills including touch typing • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Polite and professional telephone manner • Excellent planning and organising, ability to multitask and prioritise the workload • Adaptability and resilience • Educated to GCSE level (grade C or above) including English and Maths • Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
