What we do? Plain and simple: foodwatch fights for consumers' rights. We are a non-profit organization that draws public attention to practices in the food industry that are not in the interests of consumers. foodwatch fights for the right of consumers to know what they are buying and to enjoy good food that is healthy and uncontaminated.
What's the problem? What we eat is no longer something we decide ourselves. The food industry, lobbyists and politicians control what ends up on our plates and what we know about our food. That‘s got to stop.
Why is it like this? There are several reasons, including: The lack of effective consumer rights, ignorance and an unwillingness to act on behalf of authorities as well as the lack of organization among consumers.
