Junior Consultant Matrix Insight
As a Junior Consultant in our London office, you would be  responsible for data collection, for instance conducting telephone or  face to face interviews, performing literature reviews and preparing  sections for project reports or proposals. You would also be expected to  assist the team in some administration, for example travel  organisation. When the opportunity arises, you would be invited to  attend client meetings in Brussels.
 Work experience:
 None required, but an internship or some work experience in a  professional role would be an advantage. Any experience within a EU  public body would be a distinct advantage.
 Qualifications:
 Ideally will have a Masters degree in a relevant subject, although  applications from other candidates who hold Bachelors degrees also  invited.
 Knowledge:
 Will be able to demonstrate their interest in European public  policy and their knowledge of the legislative process. Ideally will have  knowledge of quantitative research methods. A legal/economic background  would be an advantage.
 IT skills:
 Ideally will have some familiarity with Microsoft packages, for example Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
 Other skills:
 Report writing and a proven ability to manage own workloads and deadlines are essential.
 Languages:
 Fluency in English and at least one other EU27 language is  essential. Applications from candidates who can speak Eastern European  languages are particularly encouraged.
 Personal attributes:
 Must be a strong team player, solution oriented, self motivated and  take pride in producing high quality work. They will have well  developed planning skills, be committed to their own continuous  improvement and learn from their own mistakes.
 All post holders must be prepared to travel abroad and occasionally spend nights away from home.
