General Functions

Duties: The Communications and Asset Management Advisor will work in close cooperation with the project teams and leaders implementing our client’s projects to ensure successful final completion, through a combination of effective project and asset management. This shall entail support on: • Inventory • Technical Specifications • Bills of Quantities

S/he will support our client’s Consultant Engineers, Contractors, and Project Managers responsible for various projects. Reporting: • The Communications and Asset Management Advisor shall report directly to ERPA management for all required tasks.

Essential Experience

Education • Minimum Master's degree in engineering or a technology-related field, or equivalent thereof in applied training/experience/knowledge • Minimum 10 years work experience • Minimum 5 years work experience with construction/infrastructure projects, asset management, and/or our client’s projects

Work Experience • Asset Management o Excellent background (minimum 3 years) in Asset Management, from a theoretical, applied, and project-based point of view o Excellent background (minimum 3 years) in standard non-profit organization asset management/financial tracking tools. o Excellent background (minimum 3 years) with contract management modalities - specifically general conditions of contract o Ability to utilize all of the above thoroughly to existing projects, to reconcile, track, verify, and for disposal of project assets • Project Management o Excellent background (minimum 3 years) providing top-level project management services, preferably on construction/infrastructure projects. Experience in Iraq required - specifically with our client’s general conditions of contract for such projects o Experience in developing Community Awareness Campaigns related to construction/infrastructure works in post-conflict areas. This includes managing expectations of the community/Civil Society, as well as managing o administration/logistics/supply chain of these campaigns • Construction/Infrastructure o Ability to understand complex itemized technical specifications relating to construction and infrastructure projects o Ability to liaise with multiple partners including organizational Senior Management, Consultant Engineers, Contractors, and community groups o Knowledge of our client’s standard Technical Specifications and Bills of Quantities formats o Good experience with construction/infrastructure projects, preferably in Iraq o Familiarity with HVAC systems required for building projects in Iraq, specifically for hospitals
