Legal Officer , Agape Aids Control Programme (AACP)

Agape Aids Control Programme (AACPis a Non-Governmental Organization with its Offices inShinyanga and it is undertaking different programs among others been prevention of Human Rights Violation like GBV and Child abuse. Currently AACP is looking for a Motivated Candidate to be part of its Team Players in fighting against Gender Based Violence in Shinyanga  Region.
Roles and Responsibilities:
·         Provide Legal Assistance to clients and to the Organization
·         Where necessary representing clients to the court or any other statutory organ
·         Draft Legal Documents for clients and for the organization
·         Serve as technical Legal Advisor to the Programme Director and the general organization  Management
·         Undertaking all legal aid provision services to the clients
·         Develop MOUs and other agreement papers between the Organization and clients, Consultants, Partners, Suppliers and Donors
·         Take active part in the planning, implementation and reporting process, i.e develop proposals, action plans, budgets, M&E Planning, Project progress reports
·         Reports to the Programme Coordinator
·         Ensure compliance and adherence of the Tanzania Laws by the Organization and its Associates
·         Contribute to programme monitoring, data collection, analysis and evaluation
·         Conduct critical investigation on the reported and unreported cases by the clients
·         Maintain and promote good image of the organization with its associates, including donors, clients, partners and Local Government Authorities
·         Ensure Organization Policies are adhered and develop other guidelines whenever required.
·         Conduct Field Works, community mobilization, facilitation and trainings
Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Law (LLB);-Mandatory Child Protection, Women empowerment, Advocacy and Sexual reproductive health rights (SRHR) trainings will be an added advantage-Preferable
·         At least 2 years post-admission experience in the same field or managing projects or programs-Preferable
·         Strong computer skills (Word processing), office operations and demonstrated understanding of and experience with Tanzania development policies and procedures-Mandatory.
·         Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili-Mandatory
·         Excellent data collection, data analysis and evaluation skills-Preferable
