COORDINATOR OF SPECIES PROTECTION DIVISION

We are looking for a person who will be responsible for coordinating the species division in WWF-Poland and supervising work of the team members.

Location:

Warsaw, Poland

Main responsibilities:

  • Develops the WWF strategy in terms of species protection
  • Prepares workplans for the team and individual team members
  • Prepares preliminary conceptions for new projects within the team
  • Oversees and ensures realization of the assumed team budget
  • Regular cooperation with the fundraising and communication departments
  • Initiates and conducts project activities in the scope of species protection
  • Coordinates and motivates the team
  • Ensures constant content-related supervision for the WWF activities, builds and maintains relations with experts in the scope connected with the coordinated field

What you need:

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in managing projects in the field of environment conservation
  • Documented knowledge of issues, processes and working of the main decision-making bodies in terms of protection of species
  • Ability to manage projects and experience in coordinating work of a team of several people
  • Ability to manage own and other’s time
  • Ability to coordinate work of the team
  • Constructive attitude to problem-solving
  • Fluent in English, Polish will be an asset, driving licence and MS office proficiency
  • Experience in cooperation with organizations and international institutions dealing with species protection will be an asset
