Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. seeks Data Engineer responsible for developing and expanding in-house reporting systems and working with product development team to capture and summarize performance metrics. Develop and support automation, monitoring and inventory tools for other IT groups.  Duties Include:
  • Tracking and reporting status of programs
  • Write reporting applications or scripts using Perl to collect revenue reports for web products.
  • Develop web UI’s using HTML, PHP, Perl, JavaScript, jQuery for backend scripts and monitoring tools.
  • Write scripts to monitor processes on systems
  • Install and build packages on Debian, Red Hat and CentOS systems
  • Write patches for Perl module like LWP.
  • Write scripts to generate reports using DBI from MySQL.
  • Write queries on NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • Develop and maintain project documents using Confluence.
  • Use Source Control SVN to manage Projects and work.
  • Write load tests for mod_perl and other applications
Minimum Requirements:  Masters degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 2 years experience in the job offered or related.  Experience must include:
  • 2 Years of Perl development experience.
  • 2 Years of Object Oriented development experience
  • 1 Year web development experience with Perl, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery 
  • 2 Years experience using Perl with Oracle and MySQL
  • 1 Year of experience with apache module development
  • 2 Years of system admin experience using Debian, Red Hat and CentOS
  • 1 year shell scripting experience
  • Strong background in C, C++ development required
  • Must be able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, data sources and protocols.
