Administrative Assistant, IPM Institute Of North America

Administrative assistant position opening at an independent non-profit organization working to reduce pests and pesticide hazards in agriculture and communities through Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Current IPM Institute projects include promotion of IPM concepts, sustainable agriculture, pesticide risk assessment, IPM evaluation and certification.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Bookkeeping
•Financial reporting
•Development and tracking of multiple program budgets
•Coordinating communications with vendors, partners and participants
•Website maintenance
•Phone reception
•General clerical and administrative support

Qualifications and Requirements:
•One to two years of bookkeeping experience
•Demonstrated ability to work independently
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications
•Experience with using classes in QuickBooks is a plus

Position has potential for growth. Flexible schedule in a casual office, 30 to 36 hours per week, hourly compensation commensurate with skills and experience. Benefits available include health insurance, dental and paid time off. Office located in near-west Madison, on bus routes.

The IPM Institute of North America, Inc. is a non-profit organization formed in 1998. The Institute's mission is to accelerate adoption of IPM in agriculture and communities through consumer education and development of IPM standards for self-evaluation and IPM certification. Institute funders have included US EPA, USDA and members and supporters.
