Job Title: Hygiene Coordinator
Type: Contract, 3 years Location: Oaxaca, Mexico Supervisor: Program Manager
Job Purpose: The primary function is to oversee hygiene programs design, evaluation and implementation and to promote the practice of hygiene and sanitation into the culture and daily life in the communities that LWI is involved.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Program Management and Evaluation • Design/contextualize the health education programs to stimulate behavior change at community level • Design, implement and coordinate health/nutrition programs and budget • Establish and maintain Living Water and other best practice standards for health/nutrition/hygiene programs • Conduct program needs assessment and surveys • Investigate potential project areas and recommend appropriate interventions • Establish and maintain program impact evaluation • Prepare technical reports, project proposals and monthly reports • Promote local capacities by periodic analysis of program impact on and potential for conflict between beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries and adjust program accordingly.
Representation • Represent Living Water to government officials, project partners, churches, NGOs, media, academic institutions and donors • Identify and select partners to promote the activities of hygiene and sanitation in the communities of intervention of the LWI.
Advocacy and Communication • Advise Program Director on health/nutrition/hygiene issues • Establish and maintain a health/nutrition/hygiene technical advice, information, materials and research systems • Train community volunteers to promote health in the intervention areas • Integrate health/nutrition/hygiene programs with other program sectors
Financial Management • Ensure budget conforms to donor requirements • Manage and monitor project budget • Ensure all health/nutrition/hygiene projects meet necessary funding requirements
Spiritual Leadership • Exhibit spiritual maturity, integrity and a dynamic personal sense of life calling. • Influences staff towards a shared Living Water mission • Attend and participate in spiritual nurture meetings/devotions as scheduled

Minimum Education / Experience: • College’s degree in relevant field • Training in Community Health (minimum: Nurse) • 3+ years’ experience in development, evaluation of health education curriculum • Familiarity with community health networks • Flexibility to travel on motorcycle and/or drive vehicles • Working knowledge of local language
