Communications/Office Assistant

European Youth Card Association (see www.eyca.org) is a network of 41 member organisations in 38 countries which distribute youth cards to 5.1 million young people as a tool to promote youth mobility and active citizenship.
EYCA wants to recruit an enthusiastic Communications /Office Assistant to maintain and develop EYCA communication tools and to support overall running of the EYCA office in Brussels.
Regular review, work planning and professional development is managed through systematic support and supervision with EYCA Brand Development Manager.
Duties and tasks:
-Maintaining and developing EYCA PR and communications work and tools: Website; social networks; Publications, newsletters, reports; All other EYCA documents and reports
-Supporting the coordination of the EYCA office: Organising events; Administration; Maintaining office systems
-Contributing to reports
Experience:
  • PR and Communications and/or organisational development in PR and communications plans
  • Managing websites and social media tools
  • Social marketing
  • Supporting a members network
  • Office administration
  • Working with youth information, youth issues and policy, European youth issues and policy
Education
-Qualifications in PR&Communications/ social sciences or humanities/ business administration are an advantage
Competence requirements:
Communications / Office Assistant should:
  • Have an excellent command of English. French is an added value
  • Have excellent writing and presentation skills
  • IT skills (website management, online communication tools, presentation tools)
  • be interested to work in an international environment
  • be highly interested in youth issues and projects
  • be able to manage a complex work programme
  • be a motivated teamworker
  • be willing to occasionally travel in Europe
