Intern - Digital Economy Policy

Position description
We are looking for an intern for a period of 6 months to support the Digital Economy Policy Group within DIGITALEUROPE.
Profile

  • Knowledge of the functioning of the EU institutions
  • Strong interest in digital technologies and digital economy issues (Data protection, cybersecurity, copyright, CSR, etc.) in particular
  • Interest in policy and advocacy work
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills
  • Fluency in English. Working knowledge of other European languages a plus
  • Previous experience in an EU institution and/or the ICT industry a definite advantage
  • Accurate and organised with an eye for details
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Function

  • Support the advocacy work (conducting research, drafting position papers, participating to meetings)
  • Assist in the daily administrative work (writing reports, organising meetings, etc.)
  • Policy monitoring on a wide range of digital economy issues
  • Attend institutional and industry events
