HR Business partner

We are looking for an enthusiastic and high energy HR Manager to join our team, which supports the Microsoft business in Belgium and Luxemburg and is fully part of this dynamic and quick-paced Services and Devices environment. In this position you will report to the HR Director, Els Overbergh.
Responsibilities:
The HR Manager is the key point of contact for a specific department (s) within Microsoft and you will spend an important amount of time in supporting and coaching line management in their role as people manager. Together with the HR Director, you translate the strategic objectives into a tailor-made HR plan. You are accountable for the successful planning and delivery of all HR programs and processes for your department (see below). This also involves assigned HR specialist fields (e.g. compensation & benefits, employee relations, training).
Key Accountabilities:
  • Staffing Programs: Collaborate with the Staffing Lead to provide input to the Workforce Plan and understand annual hiring priorities. Ensures Global Diversity and Inclusion metrics are understood and met and that key capabilities within the business are articulated and built.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Collaborate with Compensation partners and be accountable for key processes such as incentives/bonus plan management, salary reviews etc
  • Performance Management: Ensure line managers are fully knowledgeable of Performance Management processes and be accountable for defining the performance ratings calibration approach for Performance Review, and for guiding management for complete delivery of a successful Review.
  • Employee / Manager Development: Instrumental in driving the local HR Plan to implement Employee & Management Excellence programs
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Support the engagement of business leaders and other HR colleagues on the D&I plan
  • Employee Relations: Ensure that processes for resolving employee concerns are well-defined and followed with consistency, adhering to Microsoft and HR policy while following guidance from LCA. Handle escalations of Employee Relations concerns.
  • Talent planning and management - collaborate with the HRD - Area/Global to design local talent planning solutions, e.g. HiPo identification and development plans, talent discussions, and coordinated talent movement.
  • HR-related communication rollouts ensuring that business leaders are prepared to address HR programs and processes with accuracy and following the HR calendar.
Who are we looking for:
 
  • University degree or equal by experience (MBA or an advanced degree in HR are considered as a plus)
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to manage HR Programs, projects and processes in a complex and matrix business environment
  • Proven experience with budget and time management
  • Strong communication, influencing & collaboration skills including experience in working effectively in a global context
  • Ability to collaborate & partner across different business segments to deliver effective HR solutions
  • Analytical skills with ability to identify systems strengths and weaknesses, and drive for continuous improvement
  • Strong business acumen
