Job Purpose | The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and creation of a set of sales promotional and marketing initiatives aimed at increasing Etihad Airways’ sales, market share, image, brand and reputation in the US market |
Responsibilities | Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Determine annual marketing strategy for the Western Region and evaluate ROI for each project
Create annual marketing plan in conjunction with Head Office
Evaluate and schedule additional ad-hoc activities & events
Initiate ongoing recommendations for new opportunities
‘Negotiate’ with head office for support when required
Implement marketing plans for the region
Items include trade shows, event sponsorship, PR activities, seminars, road-shows, advertising, customer communication, webinars, creation or facilitation of point of sale materials and giveaways
Negotiate with 3rd party service providers or event organizers
Maintain marketing budget and ensure activities remain within budget
Verify invoices, prepare approval forms and ensure payment made within prescribed time-frame
Communicate plans and proposals to VP & sales team
Evaluate ad-hoc opportunities & recommend action
- Support sales team activities as appropriate

Requirements | University Degree in Marketing preferred, along with recognized marketing experience, commercial experience, preferably with an airline marketing role
In addition:
Highly organized, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Motivated, self-starter, with a thorough understanding of the sales organization
Organized, methodical approach to problem solving
Numerate and literate
- High level of confidentiality and trustworthiness required
