Job PurposeThe successful candidate will be responsible for the design and creation of a set of sales promotional and marketing initiatives aimed at increasing Etihad Airways’ sales, market share, image, brand and reputation in the US market
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Determine annual marketing strategy for the Western Region and evaluate ROI for each project
  • Create annual marketing plan in conjunction with Head Office
  • Evaluate and schedule additional ad-hoc activities & events
  • Initiate ongoing recommendations for new opportunities
  • ‘Negotiate’ with head office for support when required
  • Implement marketing plans for the region
  • Items include trade shows, event sponsorship, PR activities, seminars, road-shows, advertising, customer communication, webinars, creation or facilitation of point of sale materials and giveaways
  • Negotiate with 3rd party service providers or event organizers
  • Maintain marketing budget and ensure activities remain within budget
  • Verify invoices, prepare approval forms and ensure payment made within prescribed time-frame
  • Communicate plans and proposals to VP & sales team
  • Evaluate ad-hoc opportunities & recommend action 
  • Support sales team activities as appropriate
RequirementsUniversity Degree in Marketing preferred, along with recognized marketing experience, commercial experience, preferably with an airline marketing role

  • Motivated, self-starter, with a thorough understanding of the sales organization
  • Organized, methodical approach to problem solving
  • Numerate and literate
  • High level of confidentiality and trustworthiness required
