Job Description
This is a 12 month Temporary Opportunity
The Program Manager (products and services) is responsible for program management and resource acquisition of donated resources, ensuring that the appropriate donated resources are effectively integrated into World Vision projects/programs in a manner that adheres to the established principles and quality standards. The Program Manager will also be responsible for enhancing, expanding and diversifying the team’s resource acquisition and allocation portfolio through engagement with the private and public sectors, contributing to the team's annual income target of about 65 million.
Key responsibilities include:• Manage a program portfolio that includes countries in Western and Eastern Africa regions
• Contribute to the annual income target of 65 million as a team
• Conduct capacity building with field offices and training
• Monitoring and evaluation
• Conduct field monitoring visits to ensure program effectiveness and to gather resources for impact reporting
• Diversify resources through the acquisition of new corporate/agency partners
• Primary point of contact for prospective GIK donors
• Scope, analyze and initiate contact with prospective donors
• Maintain and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with key stakeholders within the WV partnership
• Manage services-in-kind placements
• Prepare external communication such as promotional material, thank you letters, solicitations, and impact reports for donors
Job Requirements:• University Degree in International Development with focus on global issues, program management and resource acquisition
• 3-5 years of International Development experience overseas and resource acquisition
• Program Management – Assessment, Design, Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation
• Resource Acquisition and Corporate Engagement
• Stakeholder relationships management
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Cross-cultural experience and sensitivity
• Speak, read and write English (French and Spanish--minimal)
• Strong computer skills and Excel, Outlook, Word
• Strong interpersonal skills and team player
• Able to travel internationally (undertake field monitoring trips and attending meetings/conference/training)
