The Global Programmes department has achieved unprecedented growth and we have set ourselves even more ambitious targets for the next few years. To meet these targets, it is crucial that we grow the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high quality reports to our supporters.
About the Role
You will join one of four Regional Portfolio Teams, reporting to the Head of Team. Your role will work closely with SCI Country Offices in order to ensure effective management of projects and the delivery of high quality reports for corporate, major donors, trusts and foundations.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced report writer who has a passion to work for Save the Children. The post holder will also need to build excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
  •     Coordinate with SCI Country Offices in the management of specific projects and writing of high quality narrative and financial reports
    
  •     Develop effective mechanisms for oversight of non-institutional projects ensuring that necessary data needed to include in the report is collected in a regular and timely way
    
  •     Sign off reports to ensure consistent quality for donors
    
  •     Work directly with corporate and major donor account holders as well as other key internal stakeholders
    
  •     Build excellent working relations
    
  •     Contribute to the development and implementation of team processes and systems
    
About You
You should have a proven track record in writing successful high value fundraising proposals, reports and budgets that secure significant donations from either/or corporates, institutional donors, major donors and trusts and foundations.
Your skills and experience should include:
  •     Project management and coordination
    
  •     Budget preparation
    
  •     Understanding of international development programmes, terminology and language
    
  •     Strong accuracy and attention to detail when handling information
    
  •     Confident IT skills for the production of visually appealing and professional documents
    
  •     Good organisation, to manage and prioritise a varied workload
    
  •     Strong inter-personal and relationship building
    
What we offer
In return we offer a negotiable salary of £29,000 - £33,000, pension, structured career development, travel and the opportunity to join an ambitious regional portfolio team.
